Torque limitation
Torque limitation is required whenver you can expect sudden restoring torques which are capable of injuring the tool operator. Hammer drills and rotary hammers are equipped with mechanical safety release clutches for the purpose of torque limitation. Electronic torque limitation has the effect of stopping the tools? motion instantly and nearly free of restoring torque. Torque-Control is also a type of electronic torque release to make sure that screw connections are not over-tightened or screw threads broken.
High-frequency cut-out wrenches are equipped with a mechanically adjustable clutch for torque limitation. Air-powered screwdrivers, like kick-out wrenches, also stop without restoring torque when the pre-set torque limit is reached.
