Toothed belts
Toothed belts combine the advantages of belt drives (variable distance between conveyor centers, low noise operation, low maintenance) with the advantages of a positively interlocking power transmission (no slip, low stress on bearings as in the case of cogs). Toothed belts are recommended for high speed transmissions and are often used in the drive sections of power tools (planers, belt sanders).
