Screwdriver blade
The blade profile has to match the slot shape on the screw head exactly. Flat blades have to fit the slot in slotted screws with as little play as possible, cross-slotted screws should fit snugly onto the screwdriver bit and not fall off the blade even if it is not magnetised. This is the only way to ensure a perfect job without slipping off the screw. Long-lasting blades and undamaged screw heads are the result. The hardness of the blade has to match the prevailing screwdriving conditions. Soft screwdriving conditions with continuously increasing torque require a hard blade. Hard screwdriving conditions with an abruptly rising torque require soft and tough blades. Here blades manufactured in accordance with the Iso-temp procedure are an advantage.
