The following terms are defined in accordance with DIN VDE 0740 Section 1000:

The machine weight is defined as the mass of the power tool without attached application tool, without exchangeable tool fitting, without replaceable safety guard, without detachable auxiliary handle and without power cable.

The working weight is the mass of the tool ready for use with tool fitting, application tool, safety guard and ? if required ? auxiliary handle, but not counting the weight of the power cable.

The weight of any detachable tool fittings, application tools or safety guards has to be specified separately if included in the working weight.
