Measuring instrument for the approximate measuring of deviations from the vertical or horizontal. The deviation is indicated by the relative position of an air bubble, also called a bubble level. For precise measurements of angles or deviations in percent, the spirit level is increasingly replaced by digital angle finders or levels.
