Safety clutch
Clutch (usually a type of roller clutch) which interrupts the flux of force from the motor to the drive section when a pre-set torque level is reached, either completely (disengaging clutch) or in temporary cyclic sequence (ratchet clutch). So-called ?sliding clutches? are not recommended as safety clutches since their working principle involves wear which can change their characteristics. (See also Overload clutch)
