Cutter bar
Cutter bars are the shearing tools of electric hedge trimmers. The active blade in safety cutter bars lies behind the drop-shaped ends of the catch knife. The protruding guide rail prevents unpleasant kick-back when a solid object is contacted. The safety knives (catch knives) are rounded off and do not protrude to prevent injuries through superficial contact.
