Sheet metal cone bit
Thin metal plate is hard to process with a hand-held drill since the usual twist drill bits tend to break through the material at the slightest contact pressure and can cause accidents if the drill suddenly gets stuck. Cone cutters are tapered with a steadily increasing diameter. In contrast to twist drill bits, sheet metal cone bits grind the sheet down gradually which prevents sudden jamming.
