Right/left rotation
The reversal of direction from right to left (clockwise to counterclockwise) on for example drills and impact drills can be used to screw and unscrew. A blocked drill bit can also be freed by counterclockwise rotation. The reverse direction can be obtained by mechanical or electrical means.
