The operational speed (stroke rate) in the tool specification of grinders, planers, plunge routers, finishing sanders, sabre saws, foam rubber cutters, circular saws, and jigsaws is the no-load or idling speed. In the sales brochures the term nominal idling speed is stated, whereas other power tools state their speed under load as operational speed.
