Flexible shaft
Flexible shafts are used for minor drilling or grinding jobs in confined areas. Two reciprocating spiral springs, one inside the other, transmit the mechanical energy to a chuck. The drive shaft is fixed on the inside by soft-soldering and forms a predetermined breaking point if the flexible shaft is blocked. The drive motor is operated in a stationary position.
