Cable drum
Cable drums are used for the storage of power cables. They are made of plastic or metal, for alternating or rotary current. AC cable drums are often equipped with built-in safety sockets and an additional excess current circuit breaker. Rotary current cable drums have a steel plate coil with wound-up five-wire high-voltage cable with earthing-pin plug and coupling. The power is transmitted through covered collector rings and contact springs.
