This is another term for adjustable spring pulleys. They are used to suspend electric and pneumatic power tools to counter-balance their weight. There are several spring pulley models, with lock, with on/off-switch, with hose pulley, and with a valve for automatic screwdriving. Balancers are mainly used with air tools or high-frequency tools.
